A message from
Dick. I have decided to retire from the guiding
business. I have enjoyed meeting and fishing with
my past clients. My body just isn't up to the
rigors of spending every day on the stream anymore.
So I have decided to let the young bucks take over. I am
going to miss fishing with so many of you I met thru
guiding "Steelhead Alley". I still love to fish
and I hope to run into you on the stream. If you would
like to go on a steelhead trip, give Don Mathews and the
rest of the crew at Steelheadschool.com a call. I'm sure
you will have a great trip with them.
Thank you for all the great memories..!! Dick
My name
is Dick Keagy. I fish and guide the Lake Erie feeder streams for
Steelhead trout. I am a life long resident of North
East Ohio. I have
all of the equipment you will need. You may fly or spin
fish or do both. First time steelheaders or fly fishers
are welcome. Casting instruction is included if
necessary. All flies and baits are included in the
price. I also bring a streamside lunch and
beverages.
My
rates are very competitive. As low as $125 per
angler in groups of three or more.
1 angler $280
2 anglers $320
3 anglers $375
* $50 deposit to hold date
I
start guiding October 1st and continue thru until May
1st weather permitting. I am a full time guide.
I am available to guide seven days a week. Ohio stocks the Manistee
strain of steelhead. They are noted for their
exceptional size and fight. They will average 24 inches
in length.
Who
wants to fish in a crowd. Let alone pay to fish in a
crowd. I specialize in finding out of the way places
that are not crowded. Our streams get muddy very
quickly. I know many small feeder streams as a
option if we get high water. We are the only guides
confident enough to offer "you catch fish or you fish
free" policy on our guide trips.
Our
fish are excellent quarry for the fly fisher. We
use 6 and 7weight rods. The fish respond to flies
or bait well. I will bring both fly and spin gear
if you would like. During the spring months you
may get to sight fish. I have developed many
unique effective patterns for taking steelhead in our
streams.
Last
year I decided to join the group of guides at
SteelheadSchool.com .
It made sense to network with these guys. I saw
them on the stream everyday anyhow. Sometimes its a
small world when your a steelhead guide. So far this
team concept is working out
very well. You may now call our central booking number
at 330-565-5457or myself directly to
reserve your fishing date. |
